The agent of Thomas Bryant says the Washington Wizards center will “probably” return by the end of this year. Todd Ramasar told Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson of SiriusXM NBA Radio, Bryant started dunking a couple of weeks ago.

Bryant suffered a partially torn ACL in January and underwent surgery the first week of February.

He started running last month and is expected to make a full recovery at some point in the season.

The timeline of the end of the year, places his return nearly 12 months from the injury. That would mean Bryant could miss the first two-to-three months of the 2021-22 season.

The Wizards have reshaped its roster across the board. That includes at center where Daniel Gafford and Montrezl Harrell are expected to split time with Bryant out.

The 24-year old Bryant is entering the final year of a three-year, $25 million deal. He’ll be faced with the challenge of fitting in with new Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. while trying to re-establish his market coming off a significant injury.
