Wizards center Thomas Bryant done for season after suffering torn ACL

The Washington Wizards will play the remainder of the 2020-21 season without Thomas Bryant.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the center suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Saturday's 128-124 loss to the Miami Heat.

Bryant injured his knee during the first quarter against Miami and had to be helped to the locker room by trainers. He never returned to the court.

The 23-year-old got off to a solid start in his third season with the Wizards, averaging 14.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 64.8% from the field and 42.9% from deep.

Washington is already shorthanded with Bradley Beal sidelined for at least a week due to contact tracing. With a 2-8 record, things aren't looking too good for the Wizards right now.
