Wizards' Kyle Kuzma fires back at comments by Nets' Spencer Dinwiddie

During a recent interview, former Washington Wizards teammate Spencer Dinwiddie made some interesting comments about Kuzma after he was asked about a tweet from Kuzma in January.

Dinwiddie said Kuzma wasn't even a third star on a good team and took shots at how he approaches life saying Kuzma's priorities tend to vary.

It didn't take long for Kuzma to respond on Twitter, always known to be vocal on social media the response was to be expected.

In the seven-tweet thread, Kuzma began by mentioning how Dinwiddie was signed to a $60M contract extension with the Wizards in 2021 and then shipped out in that same season to the Mavericks in the deal that brought Kristaps Porzingis to Washington.

Kuzma then added a dig at Dinwiddie about the Nets making the playoffs mentioning that he should thank Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for the 34 wins they helped lead Brooklyn to before they traded them both during the season.

With Brooklyn going 11-13 after the All-Star break he makes a valid point that the Nets could very well be lower than the six seed they have in the Eastern Conference.

Kuzma would make digs at Dinwiddie's play during his Wizards tenure and how he has bounced around the league in his career that has included stops in Detroit, the G-League, Brooklyn, Washington, Dallas and back to Brooklyn.

But Kuzma might have said his best for last.

He had to get one final jab in before he ended his rant by stating Dinwiddie will only be worth his contract if the NBA gave him his contract in crypto like he asked for in 2019 but was declined.

It will be interesting to keep an eye on the beef as Dinwiddie and the Nets prepare to face the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.

Kuzma has already made his rooting interest apparent, so this rivalry seems to be far from over.
