Angel Reese isn't the only player who made history during the Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun's battle on Saturday. While the Sky forward surpassed Tina Charles' record in the game, Charles herself set a different new mark that will take some time for Reese to match.
Reese recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds in the 94-84 loss to the Sun, marking her 45th career double-double and 19th of the season. Reese tied Charles for the most ever double-doubles in a player's first two seasons, but the Chicago All-Star achieved it faster since it took her 60 games compared to the Connecticut center's 68.
Despite losing her exclusive spot in the WNBA history books, Charles — who is second on the WNBA all-time scoring list — did set a new record in the Sun's win.
According to the WNBA, Charles' 23 points and 10 rebounds marked her 200th career double-double, making her the first player to achieve the feat. Former WNBA star Sylvia Fowles is second in all-time double-doubles with 193.
The closest active player to Charles is A'ja Wilson, who has 118 double-doubles, according to Across the Timeline. For context, Reese is 32nd on the list.

Considering how Reese has already recorded 45 double-doubles in two seasons, there's no denying that she's well on track to quickly climb the all-time list and soon join Charles in the 200 double-doubles club.
With her current pace, Reese could breach 200 double-doubles in the next five to six years.
That being said, Reese is also well on track to become the league's all-time leader in double-doubles.
