The Indiana Fever (19-18) are coming off their second straight loss on Sunday, with both defeats coming against the league-best Minnesota Lynx (30-7).
With just eight games remaining in the regular season, the Fever are looking to stay afloat in the WNBA playoff race without star point guard Caitlin Clark, who still has no firm timetable for a potential return. They’ll be back at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday to face the Seattle Storm.
Ahead of the matchup, the Storm drew attention by announcing some big news regarding head coach Noelle Quinn.
Following the team’s two-point win over the Washington Mystics on Sunday, Quinn earned her 94th career victory, surpassing Anne Donovan for the second-most wins in franchise history. She now trails only Brian Agler, who holds the top mark with 136 wins.

Quinn took over as head coach early in the 2021 season, and the Storm now sit at 20-18 this year—nearly identical to the Indiana Fever’s 19-18 record. The Fever are led by Stephanie White, who is in her first year as the franchise’s head coach and has navigated a challenging season filled with injuries.
Beyond Caitlin Clark, who has appeared in only 13 games this season, the Fever have suffered several recent season-ending injuries to Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, and Aari McDonald. They’ve also been without newcomer Chloe Bibby for the past two games due to a minor injury.
Despite the setbacks, White has done an admirable job, and Tuesday’s matchup carries significant playoff implications. Both teams currently sit inside the top eight spots needed to make the postseason: the Storm as the No. 6 seed and the Fever holding the eighth and final spot, narrowly ahead of the Los Angeles Sparks (17-18), who remain on the outside looking in.
