Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine was put in a disturbing, frightening situation when an “allegedly obsessed” woman who showed up at his home Thursday night refused to leave his property.
According to TMZ Sports, the woman is believed to have traveled from out of state to LaVine’s home and demanded to speak with him. When asked to leave, the woman, whom LaVine does not know, refused.
Police were called and took the woman into custody. Law enforcement escorted the woman to a hospital for mental wellness check. She was not formally arrested and has not been charged with any crime.
LaVine, 25, is enjoying a breakout season with the Bulls. In 34 games, all starts, LaVine is averaging 28.7 points, 5.1 assists and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 52.5% from the field and 43.5% from deep.
Earlier this week, LaVine was named as one of the competitors in the 3-Point Contest at the 2021 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Thankfully, the troubling events at LaVine’s home on Thursday evening not only were resolved peacefully, but the frightening situation evidently won’t interfere with his All-Star Weekend plans.
