The Sacramento Kings are getting rejuvenated during the All-Star break, preparing for a playoff push in the latter half of their season.

They've got a 28-27 record through 55 games played and sit at No. 9 in the Western Conference, though the race is tight-knit and is subject to change constantly.

At the trade deadline, the Kings traded for Zach LaVine as they were forced to be in a situation where they had to move on from star guard De'Aaron Fox.

Now, the club has a break for All-Star weekend to mount up for a postseason push with their new-look squad when they return to the hardwood together.

In the meantime, the NBA world is focused on the events taking place over the course of All-Star weekend. LaVine, in particular, has won the dunk contest in his career and has taken part in some of the most electric matchups the event has seen.

Mac McClung has won the event for three straight years, topping LaVine's two-straight wins earlier in his career.

After McClung won the dunk contest again, Ja Morant sent out a tweet, saying he might have to join the event. He then followed up asking LaVine and Aaron Gordon what was up.

"zach & AG wassup," Morant posted.

"Thinking I might have too again…." LaVine responded.

LaVine re-entering the contest alongside Gordon, who he matched up against earlier in his career, and Morant, who is a known high flyer, would be incredible for the basketball community.

With the current state of All-Star weekend, many NBA fans are yearning for more. The league has gotten creative to try and address such, though players like Morant and LaVine taking part in the dunk contest would improve the weekend that much more.
