As summer turns into fall, the November presidential election is quickly approaching. With that in mind, Democratic nominee Joe Biden released new ads on Friday that target sports fans specifically.
The coronavirus pandemic has caused sports stadiums to be empty since March, and Biden hasn't been shy in blaming Donald Trump for his mishandling of COVID-19.
With that in mind, Biden showed footage of the many empty sports stadiums across America, claiming that Trump is to blame for why fans aren't allowed to attend games.
"Trump put America on the sidelines," the end of the ad reads. "Let's get back in the game."

The Biden campaign also released targeted versions of the ad in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. The Arizona ad features both the empty stadiums of Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.
The Michigan ad features the University of Michigan's football stadium as well as Michigan State University's stadium. In the Wisconsin ad, the stadiums of the University of Wisconsin, as well as the Green Bay Packers' Lambeau Field, are shown.
With no end in sight for the coronavirus pandemic, it's no surprise Biden decided to capitalize on the opportunity to target the many sports fans who are wishing they could attend live sporting events.
While some NFL teams are allowing a limited number of fans to attend games this season, a majority aren't allowing fans until further notice.
