Week 2 in the NFL is in the books, and it was a costly one for two of the NFL's premier franchises.
The New Orleans Saints traveled to L.A. to take on the Rams in a re-match of last season's controversial NFC championship game. But what was supposed to be a high-scoring contest between high-powered offenses never materialized, as Drew Brees injured his thumb in the first quarter and was unable to return. The offense stalled with backup Teddy Bridgewater under center, but the bad news did not end there. Brees is expected to undergo surgery and could miss up to six weeks, which could spell doom for the 2019 Saints season.
Meanwhile in Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger suffered an elbow injury in the first half of the Steelers' eventual loss to Seattle. Big Ben had reportedly been dealing with an elbow injury in practice during the week, and today it was announced that he will undergo surgery and miss the rest of the season. The news is devastating for a Pittsburgh team that was already treading water in the AFC, and now the Steelers could very well find themselves on the outside looking in come postseason time.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. Both Brees and Roethlisberger have been mainstays at the QB position for over a decade now, with both having amassed the most starts as a QB in Saints and Steelers history, respectively. So with that in mind, how many of the QBs with the most games started for every NFL franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
