The MLB offseason is officially here, and while things tend not to get into full swing until the annual winter meetings, we have seen a few deals signed already, mostly involving catchers.
The Diamondbacks signed veteran backstop Stephen Vogt on Tuesday, while Travis d'Arnaud was able to turn a solid second half in Tampa into a two-year deal with the Atlanta Braves. But the biggest move of the offseason so far has been the White Sox inking Yasmani Grandal to a four-year, $73M deal late last week. Grandal had to settle for a one-year deal late into last offseason, and he responded by posting career highs in just about every significant offensive category while helping the Brewers return to the postseason for the second straight year. The White Sox liked what they saw and rewarded Grandal with the most expensive contract in franchise history in hopes that he can help them return to the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. During the 2019 MLB season, Grandal was one of 33 catchers who had 10 or more home runs. So with that in mind, how many of the 33 can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
