2019 was an up-and-down year for the New Orleans Pelicans. The first half revolved around the untimely, but inevitable, departure of superstar Anthony Davis. But just as things started to look truly bleak, the lottery gods smiled down upon them and blessed them with yet another generational talent. Then that talent, Zion Williamson, was injured before the season even started. But things are looking up in the new year, with the team reportedly "optimistic" its all-world rookie will make his professional debut this month. And with the team currently just four games out of a playoff spot in a down Western Conference, the idea of Zion coming back and taking the Pels to the postseason is not as unfathomable as it seemed way back in 2019.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. Since the introduction of the NBA three-point line during the 1979-80 season, 27 NBA players have averaged 20 points or more per game in their rookie seasons. Zion, with any luck, will be No. 28. So with that in mind, how many of the 27 can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
