Darvin Ham is the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. It's a high-pressure, high-profile gig for a 48-year-old with no previous NBA head coaching experience. One of his new tasks is to figure out how best to deploy Russell Westbrook. On Monday, Ham held his first press conference, and with Russ watching intently, he discussed what role he sees the former MVP in for L.A. next season. "Don’t get it messed up, Russell Westbrook is one of the best players our league has ever seen and there’s still a ton left in the tank.” But then he hinted at his specific expectations for the 33-year-old point guard. “Russ and I had some really, really great one-on-one convos, man, and the biggest word I think that came out of that, those discussions, was sacrifice.” How much of a sacrifice Russ is willing to make is yet to be seen, but if nothing else, there will likely be no shortage of drama in L.A. once again next year.
