Aaron Judge is officially the new American League home run king.
On Monday night in Arlington, Texas, Judge hit homer No. 62 off of Texas Rangers reliever Jesus Tinoco to pass Roger Maris for the most HRs in a season in American League history. It was a "big relief" for the 30-year-old slugger and comes as a massive payday for the lucky fan in the stands who caught the ball. Speaking of paydays, Judge is about to get a big one himself, whether it be from the Yankees or some other franchise with deep pockets. For now, Judge and the rest of the Bronx Bombers turn their attention to the postseason as they try and bring World Series title No. 28 to NYC.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. For the second time in his career, Judge led all of MLB in homers. So with that in mind, how many of MLB's annual overall home run leaders since the 1998 season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
