The reigning World Series champion Atlanta Braves won 101 games during the 2022 regular season en route to the NL East crown. A big reason for their success was the breakout performance of rookie starter Spencer Strider, who went 11-5 with a 2.67 ERA and 202 strikeouts in just 131.2 innings pitched. On Monday, Atlanta rewarded its young ace with a six-year, $75 million extension that should keep him with the Braves through the 2029 season. It's still unclear how manager Brian Snitker will utilize Strider in the series against Philadelphia, but regardless, both the Braves and their fan base can rejoice that Strider and his sweet 'stache will remain in Atlanta for the foreseeable future.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. Strider's 202 Ks this season were good enough for 11th best in all of baseball. So with that in mind, how many of the strikeout leaders for the 2022 MLB season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
