As fans wait in anticipation of this weekend's conference championship games, the league announced the finalists for the 2022 NFL awards on Wednesday, and unsurprisingly, the four remaining teams are well-represented. Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts are all MVP finalists, while Mahomes and Hurts are also in the running for Offensive Player of the Year. Niners edge rusher Nick Bosa is the early favorite for Defensive Player of the Year, and Mr. Irrelevant himself, Brock Purdy, drew a nod in the Offensive Rookie of the Year category. Coaches got some love too, as both Nick Sirianni and Kyle Shanahan are Coach of the Year finalists while Niners DC DeMeco Ryans and Eagles OC Shane Steichen are up for the Assistant Coach of the Year Award. The complete list of nominees can be found here, and the winners will be announced on Feb. 9.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. The AP has awarded its Offensive Player of the Year Award to the NFL's most outstanding offensive player since 1972. This year, Mahomes is hoping to become just the fourth QB to win the award twice. So with that in mind, how many of the NFL OPOYs can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
