Welcome back to a new week here at Bark Bets. We hope you enjoyed both your Memorial Day Weekend and the postseason action we were treated to. With matchups set for the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Final, we have some time to pass before the action gets going. We'll turn then to the diamond and load up an MLB play to begin our week's looks.
This parlay feels like a hit
We've found a solid trio of batters today that feel likely to get bat on ball, and together, the three to record a hit comes in at a solid +168 on FanDuel.
We begin with Jose Ramirez of Cleveland. The Guardians slugger has six hits in his last four games and at least one in 78% of his games this season. He'll face a familiar foe in Kyle Gibson to begin tonight's game. Ramirez has squared off against Gibson 41 times since 2017, sporting a .364 average in those at-bats, recording 12 total hits. That's history we can get behind. For good measure, Ramirez is hitting far better against RHP this season (.328 vs .154) which has us liking an early hit for the Cleveland star against Gibson.
Our next two bets are both in the Colorado-Arizona game, and we're loading up a pair of leadoff hitters in Jurickson Profar and Ketel Marte. A quick look at these two makes it easy to understand why they're betting leadoff for their respective teams, and that role will surely help give us the chances we need to secure at least one hit from each.
Profar has a .300 average against today's starter Zac Gallen in 14 plate appearances and hits righties better than he does lefties. He's also been on a tear lately, racking up 33 hits over his past 30 games. including four hits in three games against the Diamondbacks this season.
Then there's Marte, who has a hit in 24 of his last 30 games, and 27 total hits in his past 21 games. Marte comes into this one on an eight-game hitting streak, and in 44 plate appearances against Kyle Freeland, Marte is hitting .324 with 12 hits.
It seems like a strong trio for us. To recap:
- Jose Ramirez 1+ hit
- Jurickson Profar 1+ hit
- Ketel Marte 1+ hit
Together, we've locked that in at +168 on FanDuel.

Heat hold off Celtics, advance to NBA Finals — Thanks to Caleb Martin's hot shooting en route to 26 points, the Miami Heat avoided the 3-0 collapse, taking down the Celtics in Boston in Monday's Game 7. Vegas Golden Knights advance to Stanley Cup Final — After dropping Games 4 and 5, Vegas easily dispatched Dallas in Game 6, winning 6-0. The Golden Knights now advance to their second Stanley Cup Final since their franchise's inception in 2017. NFL insider suggests it's either the Bills or Chiefs signing DeAndre Hopkins — ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Monday that the Bills and Chiefs are in an "arms race" for free agent WR DeAndre Hopkins following his release last week. The fit is easy to envision, handing one of the top WRs in the league to either Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is currently +550 to lead the NFL in passing yards and Allen is +1000.
