Aaron Rodgers, New England Patriots QB? If Bill Belichick had gotten his way this offseason, that notion might have become a reality. 

A report surfaced this week that the Pats made an offer in the hopes that they could lure Rodgers to Foxborough. The four-time MVP nixed the idea, saying he wanted to play for the Jets. Of course, it's hard to know just how serious the Pats' offer was. It's no secret that Belichick is not above making trades to spite his longtime AFC East rival. Still, given the lack of playoff success the Pats have had since Tom Brady took his talents to Tampa, the New England faithful are now left to simply wonder what could have been if these two NFL legends would have teamed up in the twilight of their careers.
