Connor McDavid is coming off the best individual season of the 21st century and one of the best NHL seasons ever, so it was no surprise that he cleaned up at the annual NHL Awards held on Monday night. The 26-year-old took home the Hart Trophy (MVP), the Art Ross Trophy (most points), the "Rocket" Richard Trophy (most goals) and the Ted Lindsay Award (outstanding player as selected by his fellow players). Of course, one trophy that McDavid did not add to his mantel this season is the one that's alluded him so far in his stellar career: the Stanley Cup. Steven Stamkos has won two Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and he knows it's inevitable that McDavid will someday get to hoist the greatest trophy in all of sports over his head. "He's going to win a Stanley Cup. It's just a matter of time. He has the desire and that drive."
