Can we please just at least have one of these finals find a semblance of competitiveness with another team winning? Is that so much to ask? Our hope in that department lies with the Oilers tonight as Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final heads to Edmonton. Whether or not they win, we do think some goals will come, as Edmonton home games have been high-scoring this postseason.
In that vein, a goal parlay seems in order, don't you think?
+1074 parlay is the goal
Leon Draisaitl goal
A big reason why Edmonton is down 0-2 is that they have not yet been able to score on the power play despite logging plenty of quality looks. There's some reason for optimism there, as the Oilers sport an elite 38.5% power-play scoring rate at home this postseason, and the Panthers tend to commit more penalties on the road.
One such player who could take advantage of those opportunities is Leon Draisaitl, who typically sets up on one of the wings and rips one-timers on net during a man-up advantage. Draisaitl leads Edmonton in shots and expected goals on the power play this series, and he's far too good to stay off the scoresheet for this entire series. Tonight seems like a great night to change that.
Sam Bennett goal
We'll continue to back our friend Sam Bennett, who has been a cash cow of late with his points prop, logging an assist in two straight.
Bennett has been one of Florida's most consistent shooters and offensive creators for the last 10 games, and he's had some high-quality looks through two games. Despite missing two road games, Bennett still ranks third on the team in expected goals in their road games during this playoff run, and third in high-danger scoring chances.
He's going to get some looks, he's our favorite value play in this one.
This duo can be parlayed at +1074 on FanDuel.

Celtics take 3-0 NBA Finals lead — So much for a competitive NBA Finals, it would seem. The Boston Celtics took complete control of the series with their 106-99 win on Wednesday night, headlined by a big Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum game, plus Luka Doncic fouling out in the midst of a furious fourth-quarter comeback. Whether this series ends on Friday or in Game 5, we can all but put a bow on this NBA season. Brown skyrocketed in the NBA Finals MVP market, now sitting at -280 to win, after Tatum was -170 just yesterday.
Joey Chestnut, Takeru Kobayashi set to square off in Netflix live event — Was this "Joey Chestnut is banned from the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest" all just a big publicity stunt, because it feels like it was all just one big publicity stunt. Just one day after that news broke, Netflix announced its second-ever live event: Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef. The event, set for Labor Day, will pit the two hot-dog eating greats against each other, time will tell if we're able to bet on this thing.
U.S. Open begins today — The U.S. Open got started this morning at Pinehurst No. 2, and the early indications suggest we may be seeing some lower-scoring rounds than anticipated. As of this morning, Brooks Koepka was one of the early leaders, while Sahith Theegala and Phil Mickelson got off to some rough starts. The afternoon tee times are headlined by Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Scottie Scheffler, all getting started at 1:14 p.m. ET.
