Stanley Cup Final: How 'bout this solid +170 Game 6 parlay

We split our NRFIs yesterday, and we'd like to end the week in some good clean profit, so we've got but one look for tonight. Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final heads to Edmonton, as the Oilers have clawed out of a 3-0 hole and are on the brink of forcing a Game 7. This should be a fun one, and you need a bet in the pocket.

Hitting this parlay on the ice will be nice

First leg: Connor McDavid over 1.5 points

Edmonton's home games this postseason have consistently been high-scoring, and after three straight games going over, we expect another game with goals on both ends.

The story of these past two games has easily been Connor McDavid, who has seemingly stamped his ticket to a Conn Smythe win regardless of whether or not Edmonton wins the Cup, which would be just the sixth time in NHL history a losing player garners the postseason MVP award.

McDavid has eight points in his last two games and 10 in his last three. Naturally, we're going to have to back his points prop tonight at home as the Oilers look to force this series to a seventh game after going down 0-3.

Second leg: Vladimir Tarasenko over 1.5 SOG

Vladimir Tarasenko has been a consistent force for Florida this series. He is over this 1.5 SOG line in all five games, averaging 3.2 shots per game. He's now over this number in nine straight games overall.

Going over 1.5 is nice and all, but the encouraging trend to note here is that Tarasenko has 3+ shots in four straight. He's rolling and has been getting high-quality scoring chances each game. He should remain a disruptive force on the Panthers end tonight.

Together, you can parlay these two props at a solid +170 on DraftKings. Enjoy Game 6!

In the news ...

JJ Redick joins Lakers as next head coach — There's been quite a bit of back-and-forth on which direction the Lakers would go with their next head coach, and after flirting with Dan Hurley, they've agreed to terms with who was long reported to be the front-runner: JJ Redick. This will be Redick's first coaching job, and an interesting dynamic should come into play, as he and Lakers star LeBron James have a podcast together. Los Angeles is +3000 to win the NBA Finals next year.

NBA roundup including Alex Caruso, Malik Monk — Get ready for the NBA offseason to ramp up quickly, we're already starting to see moves and murmurs around the league. The headlining move was Chicago trading two-time All-Defensive guard Alex Caruso to the Thunder for Josh Giddey, which gives Oklahoma City a key piece to round out its roster. OKC is sitting at +850 to win the title next year. Sacramento re-signed guard Malik Monk to a four-year, $78 million extension on Thursday, bringing back one of their integral bench players.

Second day of Travelers Championship getting going — The Travelers continues on with plenty of morning tee-times today, so this may be a bit outdated by the time it hits your inbox. As of this writing, Tom Kim is sitting in first, with Will Zalatoris, Akshay Bhatia and Rickie Fowler all near the top of the leaderboard. Scottie Scheffler remains the current favorite at +260, followed by Kim (+320) and Xander Schauffele (+650).

Quick Picks

1 Florida Panthers @ Edmonton Oilers

The Panthers have struggled the last two games, no doubt about it. However, we still do believe in the Florida side of things here. They need to be far more aggressive out of the gate, but they have been one of the best road teams all season long, and we're going to trust that their experience shines through as they avoid pushing this series to a seventh game. Give us Panthers on the moneyline at +105 to win the Cup tonight.

Panthers
+1.5 (-250) +105 > 5.5 (-108)
Oilers
-1 (+143) -120 < 5.5 (-105)
2 Aaron Ekblad over 1.5 blocked shots

If consistency is your game in the NHL prop market, look no further than Aaron Ekblad's blocked shots. Ekblad has gone over this line in all five games of this series and seven straight overall, averaging 2.8 blocks per game this series. The Panthers defenseman should continue jumping in front of pucks to help out a struggling Sergei Bobrovsky in net.

Latest Odds:  -160
3 Darnell Nurse goal

Looking for a long-shot tonight on the ice? How about Darnell Nurse to net a goal. Nurse has nine shots on goal over the last two games and scored a goal last time Edmonton played at home. The Oilers defenseman should continue ripping the puck, as his uptick in aggressiveness has coincided nicely with two straight wins. At this price, it seems worth a cup of coffee.

Latest Odds:  +1600
4 Indiana Fever @ Atlanta Dream

Indiana and Caitlin Clark have started to figure some things out, sporting the league's fifth-best net-rating over the last five games, going 4-1 in that span. The Dream have not been as successful, so we'll opt to back the surging Fever here and take their moneyline.

Fever

Dream

5 Connecticut Sun @ Las Vegas Aces

The Aces got Chelsea Gray back on Wednesday, but the All-Star was a non-factor, scoring just one point. Sooner before later, Gray will help stabilize the two-time defending champion's season, but for now, we need to back the WNBA's best team in Connecticut. Grab the Sun +5.5.
