New York Yankees outfielder Juan Soto is just 25 years old, but he’s already the 17th-highest-paid player in Major League Baseball. This time next year, he might occupy the top spot. 

Soto agreed to a one-year, $31 million contract with the Bronx Bombers after being traded from San Diego in the offseason. But as a Scott Boras client, Soto is certain to test the free-agency market after the 2024 season. If the Yankees want to keep Soto, they’re going to have to pay up.
