Washington Nationals prospect Dylan Crews isn’t getting the same headlines as his former LSU teammate Paul Skenes. But since his selection in the 2023 draft, Crews shot up the Nationals farm system to AAA Rochester in June and started in right field for the National League in the MLB Futures game. Crews went 0-for-3 in the game, but did steal a base, and seems to have handled the jump to AAA with 23 hits (including three home runs) and 11 RBI in 20 games. With the Nationals in the midst of a rebuild, they may want to see how he handles the leap to the big leagues sooner rather than later.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. No. 1 draft picks get the majority of hype and attention, but the next pick can be just as valuable for a franchise. With that being said, can you name the last 30 No. 2 overall picks in the MLB Draft?
