Just three months after LeBron James and JJ Redick officially launched their “Mind the Game,” podcast, the pair are the most important individuals in the Los Angeles Lakers organization. The Lakers hired Redick as their head coach on June 20 despite his lack of coaching experience, and he’s in for a baptism by fire by taking over one of the most volatile positions in professional coaching. Redick could be well equipped to deal with the scrutiny thanks to his media background and time as the villain of college basketball at Duke. But if he doesn’t produce wins early and often, that won’t be enough to keep him off the hot seat.
