The NFL is finally back tonight with the Hall of Fame Game and the induction of the 2024 NFL Hall of Fame class scheduled for this Saturday! This year’s class is headlined by 17-year veteran Julius Peppers, who played in more NFL games than anyone else in his class (266), recorded 159.5 sacks and 719 total tackles in his career while forcing the second-most fumbles in NFL history (52). Peppers was drafted second overall by the Carolina Panthers out of the University of North Carolina in 2002 and piled up accolades, making two All-Pro teams and five Pro Bowls during his first eight years in the league. He took a mini-tour of the NFC North, playing with the Packers and Bears before returning to Charlotte to finish his career at home.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Every player inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame started as a rookie, and some wasted no time showing the league they’d be a problem for a long time. With that being said, can you name every NFL AP Defensive Rookie of the Year since 2000?
Good luck!
