Veteran running back Dalvin Cook has found a new home, signing with the Dallas Cowboys with a little over a week before their season opener against the Cleveland Browns. Cook was a Minnesota Vikings second-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, but an ACL tear shortened his rookie and sophomore campaign. From 2019-22 however, he trailed just Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb in rushing yards (5,024) and posted the sixth-most receiving yards for a RB in that same time with 1,399. The Vikings released the four-time Pro Bowl running back after 2022, and he became one of the many New York Jets whose seasons were essentially lost with the Week 1 injury to QB Aaron Rogers, as Cook managed 214 yards and zero touchdowns on a career-low 3.2 yards per carry.
