The Week 3 NFL slate kicks off Thursday night with an AFC East battle between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots. Is it the most intriguing game of the Week 3 schedule? Not by a long shot. Are we still going to bet on it? Of course.
Let's spice up this weak "Thursday Night Football" matchup with a same-same parlay for Jets-Pats.
TNF SGP
Leg 1: Under 38.5
It's hard to picture where the points come from in this matchup, especially on New England's side. The Patriots already have the least impressive group of offensive weapons in the NFL and a terrible offensive line, and now two starting linemen have been ruled out and two more are questionable for Thursday night. The Jets are going to focus all their energy on shutting down Rhamondre Stevenson, and if they do, the Pats don't have anyone else to hurt them down the field.
Although the Patriots are inept on offense, they do have a strong enough defense to keep this game close. Christian Gonzalez can limit Garrett Wilson's impact on the outside, and the defensive line can get after an immobile Aaron Rodgers and force him into quick throws short of the sticks.
Leg 2: Jacoby Brissett under 163.5 passing yards
This line is way too high. Brissett threw for 149 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals and 121 against the Seattle Seahawks, and the Jets pose an even tougher matchup than those two secondaries.
Brissett isn't set up to succeed because the Pats are lacking talent at receiver and offensive line. Left tackle Vederian Lowe and left guard Sidy Sow have been ruled out for "TNF," so Brissett will have relentless pressure coming from his blindside and forcing him to bail on the pocket or get the ball out quick.
Leg 3: Mike Williams over 23.5 receiving yards
With Gonzalez likely marking Wilson for most of the game, Rodgers will need another receiving weapon to step up and give him a trusty target down the field. Williams can be that guy on Thursday night.
The Jets wanted to ease Williams back from his torn ACL to start the season, so he played only 18 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 1. The former Los Angeles Charger shot up to 65 percent of snaps in Week 2, and that number is only going to increase as the season goes on. Williams' best skill is making contested catches down the field, so he could clear this line with just one reception.

Eli Manning, Luke Kuechly headline first-time nominees for Hall of Fame — The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its nominees for the Class of 2025 this week, and there are some heavy hitters ready for their first chance at glory. Manning, Kuechly, Terrell Suggs, Adam Vinatieri, Marshawn Lynch, Joe Staley, Vernon Davis, Aqib Talib and eight others have been chosen as first-time candidates to crack the Hall of Fame. Players need 80 percent of the votes to get in.
Jordan Love has a chance to play in Week 3 — When Love was diagnosed with a sprained MCL after the season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, it seemed as if he was going to miss at least a few weeks. After sitting out in Week 2, though, Love is hoping to play this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. The Green Bay Packers quarterback returned to the practice field Wednesday, and he told reporters he's "hopeful" that he can suit up on Sunday. The Titans are currently -2 against the Packers, but that line could be on the move depending on Love's availability for the game.
