NFL Week 3: Have fun with this long-shot player prop lotto parlay

Woof. That was a terrible "Thursday Night Football" game, but we sure enjoyed it by cashing our +440 same-game parlay in the New York Jets' dismantling of the New England Patriots. With a few extra bucks in our pocket, let's have some fun with another long-shot player prop parlay for the Week 3 NFL slate.

Week 3 NFL lotto ticket

Leg 1: Zamir White 100+ rushing yards

The Las Vegas Raiders want to feed White as much as possible, but don't take our word for it. Take it from head coach Antonio Pierce. "I’m gonna keep pumping him up. Our goal is to get 20+ touches with him," Pierce told reporters this week. "That was the goal this week, didn’t happen. That’s gonna be the goal this week and every week while he’s the starting running back and I'm here."

Las Vegas wasn't able to do that in Week 1 and Week 2 because it was playing from behind, but that should change this week against an abysmal Panthers defense which ranks 31st in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (199.5). White averaged 109.3 rushing yards per game last season when he saw at least 20 carries.

Leg 2: Isaiah Likely 80+ receiving yards

Likely broke out with nine catches for 111 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets in Week 1. The Baltimore Ravens inexplicably went away from Likely in Week 2 and targeted him only three times in an upset loss. When the coaching staff goes back and watches the film from both games, it'll be evident that Likely's size and athleticism need to be utilized more in the passing game.

The tight end's quiet game last week is creating a ton of value on his alternate receiving props against the Dallas Cowboys. We've already seen him be the focal point of this passing offense this season, and he should be heavily involved in what should be a high-scoring game.

Leg 3: Ja'Marr Chase 120+ receiving yards

Chase is off to a quiet start to the season, but he has a chance to break out of his early slump in a big way on "Monday Night Football." The Washington Commanders have an atrocious passing defense. The New York Giants have only one capable receiving weapon on the roster in Malik Nabers, and Washington let him go off for 127 yards and a touchdown on 10 catches and 18 targets.

Joe Burrow is going to pepper Chase with targets down the field against this beatable secondary. As one of the most explosive big-play receivers in the NFL, Chase could break a few long catches and clear this line rather easily.

Put all three legs together, and you get a +33725 parlay on DraftKings. Just 10 bucks gets you $3,382.50 when we cash.

In the news ...

Aaron Rodgers leads Jets to dominant win against Patriots — That looked a lot more like the Patriots we expected to see coming into the season. On Thursday night, New York held New England to just 139 yards of offense on 2.9 yards per play in its 24-3 victory. Rodgers looked great with 281 yards and two touchdowns on 27-35 passing, and he even rushed for 18 yards on his surgically repaired Achilles. After a 2-1 start to the year, the Jets are +210 to win the AFC East.

Shohei Ohtani joins the 50/50 club with breathtaking performance — Ohtani may have just put up the greatest single-game hitting performance in baseball history. On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar went 6-6 with three home runs, two doubles, four runs, two steals and 10 RBIs in a blowout win against the Miami Marlins. Ohtani's second homer of the night made him the first player in MLB history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in the same season. Enjoy watching this guy while you can, because we may never see another player like him in our lifetime. Following Ohtani's breathtaking performance on Thursday night, NL MVP odds are now off the board at most sportsbooks.

Joel Embiid agrees to three-year, $193 million extension — Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers agreed to a three-year, $192.9 million maximum contract extension that will keep the former NBA MVP in town through the 2028-29 season. The star center will earn $69 million in the final year of his new deal. Not too shabby. Embiid is +650 to win MVP this coming season.

Quick Picks

1 Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Mets

The Phillies shouldn't be underdogs in this game. Cristopher Sanchez has been lights out with only three earned runs in his last 20.0 innings of work, and the Phillies are 4-0 in his last four starts. Give us Philly on the moneyline.
Friday, 7:10 PM Eastern SPREAD MONEY LINE OVER / UNDER
Phillies
+1.5 (-233) -105 > 7.5 (+100)
Mets
+1.5 (-172) -105 < 7.5 (-114)
2 Arizona Diamondbacks @ Milwaukee Brewers

Zac Gallen is starting to look like an ace again, and current Brewers hitters are batting just .200 with a .271 xwOBA against him. On the other side, Colin Rea got shelled for 11 hits and 10 earned runs against the San Francisco Giants two starts ago. We'll take the D-backs moneyline.
Friday, 8:10 PM Eastern SPREAD MONEY LINE OVER / UNDER
Diamondbacks
-1 (+102) -125 > 8 (-125)
Brewers
+1.5 (-160) +110 < 8 (-118)
3 Jose Ramirez over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs

Ramirez is batting .304 with a .882 OPS over the last week, and this is a juicy matchup against St. Louis Cardinals starter Kyle Gibson. In 39 career at-bats against Gibson, Ramirez is batting .410 with a home run and four doubles.

Latest Odds:  -140
4 Chicago White Sox @ San Diego Padres

The White Sox aren't letting Garrett Crochet throw past the fourth inning anymore, so Chicago is 2-13 in his last 15 starts. Nine of those 13 losses have come by two or more runs, so we'll take the Padres -1.5.
Friday, 9:40 PM Eastern SPREAD MONEY LINE OVER / UNDER
White Sox
+1.5 (-104) +215 > 6.5 (-133)
Padres
-1.5 (-106) -250 < 6.5 (-114)
5 Green Bay Packers @ Tennessee Titans

The Titans are a few plays away from being 2-0 instead of 0-2. The defense ranks first in the NFL in yards per play allowed and passing yards allowed, so it should be able to shut down Malik Willis and this Packers offense. As long as Will Levis doesn't give the game away with bone-headed turnovers (big if, we know), Tennessee should grab its first win of the season.
Sunday, 1:00 PM Eastern SPREAD MONEY LINE OVER / UNDER
Packers
+3 (-120) +124 > 37.5 (-115)
Titans
-2.5 (-115) -143 < 37.5 (-118)
