+500 NLCS parlay to brighten your day

We went 3-4 in our Same Game Parlay for Game 2 of the ALCS, coming an Aaron Judge walk away from cashing our second straight SGP. We're seeing the board well right now, so let's gun for another winner with an SGP for Game 3 of the NLCS.

NLCS Game 3 SGP

Leg 1: Over 3.5 runs 1st five innings

We think both lineups have the advantage over these starting pitchers. Walker Buehler gave us seven hits and six earned runs in his first playoff start against the San Diego Padres, while Luis Severino has surrendered at least three earned runs in five straight starts.

Leg 2: Walker Buehler under 4.5 strikeouts

Speaking of Buehler, he hasn't been effective at forcing swings and misses this season. The Dodgers right-hander ranks in the seventh percentile in whiff rate, the ninth percentile in chase rate and the 16th percentile in strikeout rate. He's recorded only one strikeout in his last 10.0 innings of work, and current Mets hitters have just an 18.4 percent K rate against him.

Leg 3: Luis Severino under 4.5 strikeouts

Sticking with the same theme, Severino ranks in the 22nd percentile in strikeout rate this year, and the Dodgers have been one of the stingiest lineups against righties all season. Both teams have their full bullpens at their disposal after an off day, so the starting pitchers will likely have short leashes in Game 3.

Leg 4: Jose Iglesias 1+ hits

Iglesias has been one of the most consistent hitters in New York's lineup this postseason, recording at least one hit in seven of nine games. The infielder is also 4-10 (.400) against Buehler in his career.

Put it all together, and we get a +500 Same Game Parlay on DraftKings.

In the news ...

Bills trade for Amari Cooper — The Buffalo Bills have seen enough of their new-look wide receiving corps. On Tuesday afternoon, the Bills traded a third-round pick and a seventh-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for Cooper and a sixth-round pick. We don't know who's happier about the deal — Cooper for getting away from Deshaun Watson and the Browns or Josh Allen for getting a new WR1. Allen is averaging his fewest passing yards per game since 2019, but that should change going forward. The Bills are now -390 favorites to win the AFC East.

Yankees inch closer to World Series berth, take 2-0 lead in ALCS — The New York Yankees knocked off the Cleveland Guardians, 6-3, on Tuesday night to take a 2-0 lead in the ALCS. Aaron Judge finally joined the party with a home run and three RBIs in the game, and Gleyber Torres had a big day at the plate with three hits and two runs scored. The Yankees are massive -850 favorites to dispatch the Guardians and advance to the World Series.

Nick Chubb set to make season debut in Week 7 — It's not all bad news for the Browns this week. Cleveland is expected to activate Chubb from the PUP list so that he can make his season debut this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns rank 30th in the NFL in points per game and 28th in rushing, so they're hoping Chubb can provide a much-needed spark to this offense. Cleveland is +6.5 against Cincy in Week 7.

Quick Picks

1 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers @ Sam Houston State Bearkats

Sam Houston State's offense is on a roll right now, averaging 35.8 points and 282.0 rushing yards over the last four games. The Bearkats should be able to torch a Western Kentucky defense that ranks 133rd out of 134 teams in opponent third-down conversion percentage. Give us SHSU -1.5.

Sam Houston State

2 New York Liberty @ Minnesota Lynx

The Liberty took huge second-half leads in Game 1 and Game 2 of the WNBA Finals, and it took the Lynx a miraculous comeback to steal a game on the road. New York has dominated Minnesota for a large majority of this series, and we're getting a break on the price because it's on the road. We'll take the Liberty -2.5.

3 Boston Bruins @ Colorado Avalanche

This is a bet based on luck. The Bruins have the second-highest goals for above expected in the NHL, while the Avalanche have the highest goals against above expected so far. The Avs have been much better than their 0-3 record suggests, so we'll take Colorado on the moneyline.
