Week 8 of the NFL season gets underway on Thursday night with an intriguing NFC matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Minnesota Vikings. We've had some success this season crafting up Same Game Parlays on "Thursday Night Football" to kick off the weekend, so let's cash another one for Rams-Vikings.
'TNF' SGP
Leg 1: Over 48
We don't normally like taking the over on "Thursday Night Football," but both offenses have huge advantages over the defenses in this matchup. Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson should have field days against a Rams defense that ranks 30th in rushing yards allowed per game, 27th in yards allowed per pass and 25th in points allowed per game. Minnesota's defense showed some cracks in a 31-29 loss to the Detroit Lions last week, and Los Angeles will be able to create explosive plays with Cooper Kupp and possibly Puka Nacua returning to the field.
Leg 2: Cooper Kupp over 6.5 receptions
Matthew Stafford has been throwing to Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell and Demarcus Robinson since Week 2. No one is more excited to see Kupp back on the field than him. Remember, Stafford peppered Kupp with 21 targets and connected with him for 14 completions in Week 1. The veteran QB will look for his good friend early in often in his return.
Leg 3: Sam Darnold under 31.5 passing attempts
This line doesn't make much sense. Darnold has gone under this mark in all six starts this season, averaging 27.3 passing attempts per game. With Jones healthy, the Vikings run a balanced offense and don't ask Darnold to do too much. This unit looks its best when the run game is humming and Darnold can succeed in play-action.
Put it all together, and we get a +420 SGP on DraftKings. Let's cash!

Andy Dalton hurt in car accident, Bryce Young to start in Week 8 — The nightmare season for the Carolina Panthers just keeps getting worse. On Tuesday, Dalton sprained his thumb in a multi-car accident near Bank of America Stadium. He's been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, meaning Young will be back under center after getting benched earlier in the season. This is a big opportunity for Young as he attempts to turn his career around. The Panthers are now +9.5 against the Broncos.
Bucks, Cavaliers, Magic, Warriors impress in season openers — We had our first full NBA slate of the season on Wednesday night, and some teams looked better than others. The Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Philadelphia 76ers without Joel Embiid and Paul George. The Cleveland Cavaliers put up 136 points in an easy win against the Toronto Raptors. The Orlando Magic stifled the Miami Heat in a 116-97 road win, and the Golden State Warriors cruised to a 139-104 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers. They're all looking up at the Boston Celtics, which are +280 favorites to win the title.
Taylor Moore takes early lead at Zozo Championship, Xander Schauffele close to last place — The Zozo Championship from Japan got underway overnight for us here in the United States, and Canadian Taylor Moore jumped out to a first-round lead with a 7-under 63. Schauffele, the pre-tournament favorite, made a quadruple bogey from behind a tree and limped to a 3-over 73. He's tied for 70th place in the 78-man field after Round 1. Moore is now a +600 favorite to win the tournament.
