When the Minnesota Vikings lost first-round draft pick J.J. McCarthy to a season-ending knee injury in the preseason and named Sam Darnold their starting quarterback, many in the NFL world laughed. Now, sitting at 11-2 and one game behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North, Darnold is the one who can’t stop smiling. The former third-overall pick is now on his fourth team in five years, but finally seems to have found his groove as a starting signal caller. Darnold is tied with Baker Mayfield for third in the NFL with 28 touchdowns, tossing five in one game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. While this was supposed to be a transitional year for the Vikings, especially after losing McCarthy, head coach Kevin O’Connell has turned them into a juggernaut led by a journeyman.
