Minnesota Vikings running back Cam Akers’ career story is one of devastation followed by resilience. Despite suffering two Achilles tears in less than three years, Akers is back playing for an NFC contender. It isn’t in the feature back role he envisioned after three excellent seasons at Florida State, but after being acquired by the Vikings via trade before the deadline he scored three touchdowns in 12 games. Now he returns to the playoffs against his former team, the Los Angeles Rams, where his 131 yard effort in the 2021 is the second most rushing yards in a wild-card game in franchise history.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. While Aaron Jones will likely get the majority of the touches for Minnesota on Jan 13, watch out for some playoff magic from Akers. With that being said, can you name the active NFL players with the most rushing yards in a single wild-card game?
Good luck!
