What a difference a year has made for the Detroit Pistons. Through 57 games in 2023-24, the Pistons were 8-49 and tied the Philadelphia 76ers for the longest losing streak in NBA history at 28. 

But following Sunday night’s 148-143 win over the Atlanta Hawks, Detroit improved to 31-26 through the same amount of games just one season later. A big reason for Sunday’s win, and the massive leap from the squad in general, has been a career year from guard Cade Cunningham. He scored 38 points with 12 dimes on Sunday and is averaging personal bests in points (25.7), assists (9.5) and rebounds per game (6.3). 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Cunningham was drafted as an elite scorer when he was drafted first overall in the 2021 NBA Draft and seems set to fulfill that potential.
