The 2025 NFL season still seems likely to end in disappointment for the 3-6 Cincinnati Bengals, but with Joe Burrow’s 21-day window to return from injured reserve opening on Monday, there might be a flicker of hope.

Burrow has been out since injuring his toe against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept 16, and since then the Bengals are just 1-6. Despite getting an offensive boost when the team acquired Joe Flacco to replace Jake Browning under center, the Bengals defense has allowed the most points and yards per game in the NFL this season. 

Despite being three games below .500 through 10 weeks, the AFC North is available for the taking. Cincinnati trails the first-place Steelers by just two wins and are coming out of their bye week with a chance to sweep Pittsburgh in Week 11.
