If you told Rockets fans heading into Game 4 with the Golden State Warriors that they’d hold Steph Curry to 17 points on just 2-of-8 shooting from three, they’d probably have assumed the series would be tied at two. But thanks to a historic night from youngster Brandin Podziemski, the Warriors are taking a 3-1 series lead back to Houston after a 109-106 win.
“Podz,” scored 26 points on 6-of-11 from deep with five rebounds and five assists, becoming the third-youngest player ever to post 25/5/5 with five treys in a postseason game, with only LeBron James and Anthony Edwards accomplishing the feat at a younger age. Golden State also got 27 points from Jimmy Butler – including a critical 12-for-12 from the free throw line.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. If the Warriors are still able to pull out victories without brilliant performances from Steph, everyone not named the Oklahoma City Thunder could be in serious trouble. With that being said, how many of the youngest players from each NBA franchise to record 25/5/5 with five three pointers in a playoff contest can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
