While not set in stone, Shanahan said he expects to get Aiyuk back sometime in October. 

"I always see him around Week 6. So that could mean Week 10, but it could also mean Week 5," he said. 

Aiyuk turned a 2023 AP second-team All-Pro season with San Francisco into a four-year, $120 million contract extension (after a preseason holdout) before his season-ending knee injury.
