The '250-strikeout MLB seasons' quiz

Shane Bieber became an All-Star for the first time with the Cleveland Guardians in 2019 and a household name to baseball fans in his 2020 Cy Young-winning campaign. But he pitched just 12 innings before needing Tommy John surgery in 2024 and, when he eventually makes his 2025 MLB debut (maybe in mid August ), it will be for the Toronto Blue Jays. Bieber has made four starts across the Guardians farm system since the start of July, throwing 57 pitches in his last outing with the Akron RubberDucks.

The Blue Jays, who have been one of the best teams in baseball since June despite a recent four-game losing streak, sent pitching prospect Khal Stephen to Cleveland for the former pitching Triple Crown winner according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan

Which brings us to today’s quiz. There is huge upside in this deal for a Blue Jays team that sees itself squarely in World Series contention. With that being said, how many of the MLB pitchers to strike out at least 250 batters in a season can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
