2023 Baltimore Ravens schedule analysis

On Thursday night, the NFL released the complete Ravens schedule. Per NFL research, Ravens opponents had a 138-147-2 record in 2022, making their 2023 schedule the 21st-most difficult in the NFL.

Circle the date: Week 16 vs. the 49ers

By Week 16, the Ravens and 49ers could each be fighting for the No. 1 seed in their respective conferences. San Francisco's path to winning its conference feels much easier than Baltimore's, but the Ravens have certainly added playmakers this offseason to contend. And who knows? This might just be a preview of Super Bowl LVIII.

Toughest stretch: Weeks 15-18

The Ravens' toughest stretch comes at the end of their season as they take on three teams that made the postseason last year and a division rival. It begins with a trip to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars, who Baltimore lost to in 2022, and San Francisco, who's made the conference championship in back-to-back seasons. The Ravens then finish the regular season by hosting the Dolphins and Steelers, whom they went 1-2 against in 2022.

Easiest stretch: Weeks 6-8

The Ravens have a sweet spot in the middle of their season against teams with questions. First, Baltimore heads to Tennessee to go against the Titans who will either be starting 35-year-old Ryan Tannehill or rookie Will Levis at quarterback. Next, the Ravens host the Lions, who many feel could be a playoff team but have yet to take the next step. Finally, they will fly to Arizona to face a likely Kyler Murray-less Cardinals team.

Revenge game: Week 2 at the Bengals

The Ravens head back to Cincinnati where the Bengals ended their short-lived playoff run a season ago. This time Baltimore will have a healthy Lamar Jackson fresh off his record-breaking payday and an assortment of new weapons.
