If no running backs are selected on Day 1 of the NFL Draft, it would be mark just the third time in the common draft era that no running backs were taken in the first round.
The last time was only two years ago when Bryce Hall was selected 36th overall by the New York Jets. The first time was 10 years ago when the Tennessee Titans took Bishop Sankey at No. 54 in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Overall, there hasn’t been a lot said about the position heading into this year’s draft. However, sportsbooks believe it’s a two-man race to be the first taken off the board between Texas’ Jonathan Brooks and Florida State’s Trey Benson. While they have the two lowest odds, Michigan’s Blake Corum and USC’s MarShawn Lloyd are also listed below +1000.
