Coming off a franchise-worst 3-14 season, and facing the league’s toughest schedule, the New York Giants hope to get out of the NFC East cellar in 2025. Per BetMGM, they won’t.
Regular-season win total: 5.5
Outlook: Although he received a vote of confidence from ownership in January, head coach Brian Daboll is clearly on the hot seat with a 9-25 record over the past two seasons. When asked how long he thought it will take for the Giants to improve, Giants President John Mara told reporters, "It better not take too long, because I've just about run out of patience."
The Broncos and Steelers both ran out of patience with Russell Wilson in recent years but that didn’t stop New York from giving him a one-year, $10.5M contract for 2025. The 36-year-old quarterback will look to salvage his career after throwing for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns in 11 games with Pittsburgh last season.

His best shot lies with former LSU receiver Malik Nabers, who led the team with 1,208 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024. Nabers finished his rookie year as the NFL’s seventh-leading receiver but received little help as No. 2 receiver Wan’Dale Robinson ranked 51st with 699 yards and three scores.
Of course if the Giants don't improve on last year’s 30th-ranked offense, especially in early games, expect the team to plug in former Ole Miss Jaxson Dart after moving back into the first round of this year's draft to take him 25th overall.
Defensively, all eyes will be on third-overall pick Abdul Carter this year. The 6-foot-3, 259-pound linebacker had his eyes on retired numbers like Lawrence Taylor’s No. 56 and Phil Simms No. 11 before settling on No. 51 recently.
Carter will join a defense that ranked 24th last year and struggled without Dexter Lawrence to end the regular season. The three-time Pro Bowler dislocated his elbow against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day and missed five games but still led the team with nine sacks.
Our take: Carter, Lawrence and Brian Burns, who the team traded for in 2024, have the talent to create a formidable pass rush, but the Giants schedule and lack of weapons will be too much to overcome next season.
Depending on how Wilson and Dart perform, New York may start thinking about 2026 and the possibility of adding Tennessee quarterback Arch Manning, projected to be a top pick in next year’s draft.
Predicted win total: 4
