Strengths

A smooth route-runner with an impressive blend of size and speed, Ferguson is a handful for opposing defenses thanks to his ability to challenge them both vertically and horizontally. He’s sharp coming in and out of his breaks, creating separation with subtle moves at the top of his routes. He has enough initial burst to create big plays down the field up the seams, and his big frame gives him the ability to beat smaller defenders at every level of the field when the ball comes his way, even if the defender is in good position to make a play. He’s willing and able as a blocker, with solid technique that allows his offense to line him up close to the line of scrimmage or out away from the trenches.

Weaknesses

He may not win the 40-yard dash competition, but Ferguson is explosive enough in short bursts to create problems for defenses as a pass-catcher at all levels of the field. His ability to line up in-line and contribute as a blocker is a plus, even if he’s not the most dominant presence there.
