20 Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are this low for two reasons. First, there's no need to take a running back really, really early in the NFL Draft - that includes one as promising as Ashton Jeanty.

He's a potentially great football player, but the world seems to think he'll make a Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry type of impact. That's way too much to ask.

Second, they really needed secondary help, and while Iowa State corner Darien Porter was a good idea in the third round, they didn't do anything else with their tons of flier late picks.

It's a Pete Carroll team, though. Get lots of late choices, find one or two players in the bunch.

19 Pittsburgh Steelers

Really? The Steelers don't have a quarterback, and now the options are either the Aaron Rodgers Reality Tour or sixth-round pick Will Howard from Ohio State?

But it's Pittsburgh, and it usually does a lot of things right.

Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon in the first round was a good get, Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson in the third was wonderful, and Ohio State playmaking edge rusher Jack Sawyer is the type who ends up being something big once he puts on a Steeler uniform.

It's all just to kill time, though, if they don't have a quarterback who matters.

18 Seattle Seahawks

It's Seattle - it does what it does, and it's actually a great idea. Take a TON of picks on Day 3, and if one or two hit, job done. It had seven selections from the fifth round on, and it took some phenomenal college football players in Notre Dame DT Rylie Mills and Colorado State WR Tory Horton. Miami RB Damien Martinez is a strong fit, but he's a sixth rounder.

Can Jalen Milroe fix the quarterback situation after the Sam Darnold signing? It was a good call in the third round, but like every other team other than Cleveland, this will look awful if Shedeur Sanders is great.

17 New York Jets

It's not bad, but there weren't a lot of difference-makers after the second round. There. weren't a ton of late round picks, but each one was a good idea.

The problem is that the Jets needed a defensive tackle and didn't do anything to get one, and it needed more offensive playmakers and that puts all the pressure on second round tight end Mason Taylor to be ready right away.

16 Baltimore Ravens

There were a LOT of picks for the Ravens with eight on Day 3, and they all make sense on paper. However, the only one who should make a big impact if Arizona PK Tyler Loop.

They needed to make a real push for a corner early on, and didn't. Safety Malaki Starks out of Georgia is a keeper, and Marshall pass rusher Mike Green was a steal in the second round. After that, it's about hoping one of the late guys can stick.
