Week 3 of the NFL season was marked by significant moments, injuries, and personnel changes. Here is the news roundup heading into Week 4.

The Injury Bug Strikes Again

The first of several key injuries is Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The star wideout suffered a high ankle sprain in Dallas’ 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears. He’s set to miss three to four weeks and ruled out for Sunday night’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin suffered a quad injury on Sunday, and his status is up in the air for Week 4. Their star quarterback, Jayden Daniels, remains day-to-day with a knee injury; his status is still uncertain.

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (ankle), San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, and Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris (Achilles) are all set to hit IR. They will all be out for the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans is set to miss multiple games with a hamstring injury as well.

49ers QB Brock Purdy is expected back at practice this week, leaving a return on the table. He’s missed the last two weeks with both a shoulder and a toe injury.

The Minnesota Vikings will start Carson Wentz at QB once again. J.J. McCarthy is still nursing a high ankle sprain and will be absent for the second week in a row.

Week 4 Roster Moves/Returns

The New York Giants have officially named rookie QB Jaxson Dart the starter for Week 4. Russell Wilson will be moved to QB2 behind the 25th overall pick. Dart will be making his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. They’ve also signed kicker Younghoe Koo to the practice squad amid Graham Gano’s groin injury.

The Vikings are gaining a major weapon in wide receiver Jordan Addison. The former first-round pick is returning from a three-week suspension on Sunday.

The Houston Texans have released veteran defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

In a coaching change, Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan is giving up offensive play-calling duties. QB coach Bo Hardegree will be taking over effective immediately.

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller is practicing this week after suffering a hip injury. The formerly retired veteran has yet to play this season and would be making his Dolphins debut if he suits up.
