2025 Overly Bold Predictions – Miami Dolphins
Since the season for the Miami Dolphins does not begin until September 7th at Lucas Oil Stadium, we have the luxury of projecting, predicting, and taking a stab at what may or may not turn out to be reality.
So, here goes.
Overly bold” predictions for our upcoming season:
• This is the most obvious. Tua Tagovailoa starts every game in 2025, an accomplishment that results in Miami’s first playoff win since 2000.
• Ollie Gordon II rushes for more than a thousand yards as he begins the year as the number two running back and holds onto the job, beating Jaylen Wright.
• Jaylen Waddle has over 1,200 receiving yards and has surpassed Tyreek Hill’s 2025 totals of 1,110 receiving yards.
• Tyreek Hill falls short of his receiving yardage goals of over 2,000 yards yet maintains a team-first attitude and becomes the ultimate team player (I told you these were bold)!
• The starting offensive line, consisting of tackle Patrick Paul, guards James Daniels and Jonah Savaiinaea, center Aaron Brewer, and tackle Austin Jackson, remains healthy enough to start most of the snaps.
• The defensive front seven of Zach Sieler, Benito Jones, and Bradley Chubb. Jaylan Phillips, Chop Robinson, Jordyn Brooks, and Tyrel Dodson produce at least two Pro Bowlers.
• The defensive backfield, comprising cornerbacks Storm Duck and Jack Jones, safeties Ashtyn Davis and Minkah Fitzpatrick, and nickelback Jason Marshall Jr., despite allowing an above-average completion percentage, makes up for it through turnovers, elevating the turnover differential from minus 5 in 2024 to a positive double-digit number in 2025.
The boldest prediction of all?
The 2025 Miami Dolphins make the playoffs with an 11-6 record, having split the Bills during the regular season, allowing the Dolphins a playoff game at home.
And the Miami Dolphins win the first round of the playoffs, albeit as a wild card, and reach the divisional round.
That is as far as I could muster.
