2025 Raiders Mock Draft: Moving Around to Build

The Las Vegas Raiders head into the final week of the 2024 regular season with the eighth overall pick and need multiple positions filled. As a result, the 2025 NFL Draft becomes that much more important. In the expected turnover that comes from a regime change, chances are several starting jobs will be up for grabs.

Rationale

For the purposes of this draft, the Raiders made two trades. First, they ship the 210th and 211th picks to Dallas for the 190th overall selection. Also, they grabbed the 190th pick from Seattle for the 209th and 222nd draft picks.

8th Overall (Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona)

Jakobi Meyers profiles as a solid second option. Tre Tucker wins from the slot. Brock Bowers dominates the seam. McMillan gives the Raiders a tall (6'5") target that traces clean routes with decent speed and excellent leaping. Franchise wideout potential.

39th Overall (Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa)

Big back with excellent burst that can break tackles. Would combine with Sincere McCormick or another pass-catching rusher. Gives offense a punch. Would form Vegas triplets with McMillan and Bowers.

69th Overall (Jaxson Dart, QB, Mississippi)

With two instant starters at the first two picks, the team can roll the dice on Dart. Cannon armed, decent on RPO, with touch and accuracy all over the pocket.

70th Overall (Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas)

Trevon Moehrig and Isaiah Pola-Mao surrender a combined 72 percent completion rate, giving up six passing touchdowns. Mukuba brings elite speed and agility to the secondary.

106th Overall (Daylen Everette, Georgia)

By far, Jack Jones is the Raiders' best corner. However, with seven opposing touchdowns against him, the need for an upgrade becomes obvious. Everette can play man and also, drive on underneath routes.

147th Overall (Luke Kandra, OL, Cincinnati)

Opponents get to the Raiders' quarterback in an average of 3.28 seconds, ninth worst in the NFL. Kandra will help keep whoever lines up in the backfield.

184th Overall (Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall)

Accomplished edge rusher that could provide meaningful depth on the boundary. Provides help in NASCAR package, when team potentially kicks Wilson inside.

190th Overall (Jack Wilson, OT, Wisconsin)

Behind Kolton Miller and Delmar Glaze still need quality depth behind them. Plus, whoever takes over as head coach will build their own offensive line from the backups forward.

194th Overall (Billy Bowman, S, Oklahoma)

Eleven career picks at Oklahoma, a subpackage safety with excellent speed and ball skills. Can cover anything from a slot wideout to backs to tight end, despite size.
