The 2026 NFL offseason is here and that means it’s time for mock drafts, draft profiles and everything that goes with them. So without further ado, here’s one of many Draft Profiles for the 2025 NFL draft.

Antonio Williams, WR, Clemson

Accolades:

  • First-team All-ACC (2024)
  • Third-team All-ACC (2025)

Pros:

  • Route Running: Savvy technician who varies tempo and uses subtle body movement to win cleanly off the line.
  • Ball Tracking: Locates the deep ball with ease and adjusts late to finish tough sideline catches.
  • Middle Toughness: Fearless working between the numbers. Absorbs contact and holds on through traffic.
  • Zone Feel: Understands spacing at a high level. Settles naturally into windows and presents easy targets.
  • Contested Catch: Plays bigger than his frame. Explosive leaping ability shows up in tight coverage situations.
  • Hands: Reliable catcher with strong focus. Extends away from his body and secures through contact.
  • Run After Catch: Shifty and competitive with the ball. Creates extra yardage with vision and quickness.
  • Versatility: Brings added value as a returner, giving him immediate special teams utility.

Cons:

  • Frame/Length: Light build with shorter arms. Can be disrupted by physical press corners at the line.
  • Play Strength: Below-average strength shows up in blocking. Struggles to sustain or control defenders in the run game.
  • Durability: Missed significant time in multiple seasons. Injury history raises questions about long-term availability.
  • Vertical Speed: Adequate long speed but lacks a true second gear. Has trouble consistently stacking corners deep.
  • Short-Area Agility: Change-of-direction ability is more average than dynamic in tight spaces.
  • Route Discipline: Will occasionally freelance within routes, leading to timing inconsistencies with his quarterback.

Summary:

Williams projects as a true slot receiver at the next level, and there is little reason to complicate that evaluation. He wins from the inside with craft, quickness, and a natural feel for leverage that already looks pro-ready. In a timing-based passing offense that prioritizes precision over raw traits, he should contribute immediately. Spread looks, RPO concepts, and quick-game designs that isolate him on linebackers or nickel defenders will maximize his skill set. His punt return background and willingness to handle manufactured touches, whether as a runner or on gadget plays, give offenses additional ways to feature him.

The primary concern is durability. His lean build and reliance on elusiveness leave him exposed to consistent contact, and that becomes a different challenge against NFL defenders. Missing time in multiple seasons is not disqualifying, but it is a trend teams will factor into his projection. When healthy, though, the production speaks clearly. His 2024 season showed a receiver who can separate, finish in traffic, and create after the catch at a high level. He may never profile as a true outside number-one option, but as a dependable number-two target or high-end slot with return value, he offers a clean translation to the next level.
