2 Bold Predictions For Chiefs Vs. Chargers
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers have been significantly underperforming this season, despite a roster that many considered one of the best in the NFL.

Granted, they’ve been as banged up as any other squad, but their 5-4 record has to be considered a big disappointment after many expected them to be Super Bowl contenders.

On Sunday, they will host the Kansas City Chiefs, the best team in the AFC West, who boast a 7-2 record, and it will be an opportunity for Los Angeles to get a proverbial statement win while sending a bold message to the rest of the league.

However, unless they somehow become much healthier in the next few days, it could become ugly, which leads to these two bold predictions.

1. The Chiefs Will Score At Least 30 Points

Kansas City is first in points scored, and even with their former top weapon Tyreek Hill now in Miami, they still have tons of blowout potential on any given Sunday.

They scored at least 30 points in only four of their nine games so far, but the Chargers’ defense has been very poor, as they rank 29th in points allowed and 30th in rushing yards allowed.

Granted, the Chiefs don’t run the ball a lot, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes has the ability to flat-out embarrass opposing defenses.

2. The Chiefs Will Win By At Least 10 Points

If L.A. were mostly healthy, perhaps we wouldn’t be making this prediction, as it has been pretty competitive versus Mahomes and crew over the last few years.

But top wide receiver Keenan Allen has been out for all but two games this season, and his running mate Mike Williams has missed the team’s last two contests with an ankle injury.
