2 New Safety Options Available For Los Angeles Rams From Division Rival
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Rams safeties, John Johnson III and Jordan Fuller, are free agents this year. Fuller played on 93 percent of defensive snaps last season and Johnson was in heavy rotation as well. The club has the option to resign both, but exploring more players at the position in free agency is an option as well.

As the Seattle Seahawks transition from one coaching regime to the next, Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs find themselves on the outside looking in. On Tuesday morning it was announced that the team was moving on from the Pro Bowl safeties.

Are the Seattle Seahawks’ Safeties a Fit for the Los Angeles Rams?

What the Los Angeles Rams need and what both Diggs and Adams bring is experience. So in that way, they would add tremendous value.

The cost would be the biggest factor. If either were willing to take a one-year, cheap contract, like Ahkello Witherspoon took last season, the Rams should definitely consider adding a true veteran presence to the mix. Considering neither had particularly good seasons last year, that possibility is not beyond the realm.

This would ensure that the Rams have a warm body at a cheap price in the event they are unable to find a viable option at safety.

They did a not-so-dissimilar move in 2022 when they brought on former Seahawks linebacker, Bobby Wagner. Wagner’s experience helped Rams LB Ernest Jones become better at the position.
