2 Reasons The Cowboys Should Not Sign Odell Beckham Jr.
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The sweepstakes for Odell Beckham Jr. have yet to see the star receiver sign with a new team.

However, the Dallas Cowboys are possibly a favorite to land the former Rams receiver.

While Beckham is still nursing his ACL injury before making a return, Cowboys players and fans want him.

But there are two reasons for the Cowboys to pass on the star receiver in 2022.

1. Beckham Will Come With A Price Tag

With the talent OBJ has as a receiver, he’ll be asking for a nice payday from any team willing to sign him.

However, if the Cowboys want to save the money for younger players beyond 2022, they should pass on Beckham.

While his talent deserves a payday, his ACL injury might cause Jerry Jones to pause handing over a big contract.

With a report about the Rams suspecting OBJ’s knee was going to explode last season, it’s better to save the money for another player

He’s not worth the price if his knee injuries go deeper than his current ACL injury.

2. Beckham Might Not Impact The Cowboys Offense

The Cowboys passing game is already seeing more scoring over their last three games.

Dak Prescott has 707 passing yards and seven touchdowns over his last three games.

With the Dallas offense having solid numbers in the scoring department, adding Beckham might not affect the offense much.

If his injury slows him down, it won’t help the Cowboys at all.

While OBJ has shown flash during his career, his time might be up as an impactful star receiver in the NFL.
