3 Lions legends from the 90's are finally nominated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, they're joined by 6 other former Lions
USA TODAY Sports

Just last week the Pro Football Hall of Fame nominated 187 senior candidates to the Hall of Fame. 15 former Lions made that list. One of the questions we got from fans was "where is Herman Moore?"

Well, now we can proudly say that he has also been nominated for Pro Football Hall of Fame. 167 candidates were nominated Tuesday and there were a few Lions on the list. Herman Moore was one of them.

Moore was one of the best receivers in the NFL during the 90's. He was a four time All-Pro and four time Pro Bowler. He led the league in receptions in both 1995 and 1997. The Lions added him to the Pride of the Lions in 2018. He defintley deserves to have a bust in the Hall of Fame.

Other former Lions

WR Anquan Boldin: My personal favorite receiver to use on NFL 2K5. He was unstoppable on that game. He played with the Lions in 2016 and was a big part of that team making the playoffs that year.

QB Jeff Garcia: Spent the 2005 season with the Lions. It didn't go all that well.

OT Lomas Brown: Still a big part of the Lions today. He was put in the Pride of the Lions last year. I did a podcast with him while I was at Pride of Detroit and he said that he would possibly play his trombone on stage if he's inducted. We're going to hold him to that.

DT Haloti Ngata: Another guy that helped the Lions make the playoffs in 2016. He was here for three seasons.

LB Julian Peterson: Played with the Lions in 2009 and 2010. His final two years in the league.

CB Dre Bly: Was one of the best corners in the league with the Lions and was recently the teams cornerbacks coach.

K Jason Hanson: One of the best kickers to ever play the game. He should have been in 10 years ago.

K David Akers: Was the Lions kicker right after Jason Hanson retired. He kicked during the 2013 season.
