The Detroit Lons lost a hard one on Sunday Night, and "disappointed" was the word flying around with the team after this one. We've got three winners and four losers in this one.
He only played 10 snaps on defense, but he made the most out of those 10 snaps. The biggest moment was his pass breakup on fourth down. Unfortunatley, the Lions weren't able to capitalize on that.
This was actually a decent game from Goff. He completed 79.3% of his passes and was dead on with a lot of his throws. He didn't get enough help from his guys. The Lions' offensive line struggled in the pass rush department, and just about everyone dropped a pass or two. Even Amon-R St. Brown. Who never drops passes. For as bad as it was, their quarterback looked good.
Skip deserves some props after this one. He hasn't played all year long due to injury, and then came in for Decker in this one and played really well. For most of the game, he hadn't didn't allowed a single pressure. That's good news for a team that needed some help there after Giovanni Manu struggled against the Bengals.
You just can't do this. It solves nothing, and even if you felt that the other team was being dirty, all that matters is that you were the one who got caught. Branch did apologize, but the fact that he's been fined 13 times by the league might make it easy for them to see a reason to suspend him.
The Chiefs' game plan was pretty simple: attack the linebackers. Anzalone was targeted six times and allowed six catches for 56 yards. That might not seem like a lot, but the Chiefs dinked and dunked their way up and down he field all night by doing stuff like this.
Campbell would agree with that. He got targeted eight times and allowed five catches for 77 yards. It didn't help that this was probably his worst game when it comes to tackles. He had two missed ones in this game.
Speaking of missed tackles, Joseph had four. He probably shouldn't have played this game. It was pretty clear that he was hobbled, and at one point, he was helped off the field before coming back on. It's an important game, and I get how you can't tear guys away from that, but this might have done more harm than good.
